Actor Sonu Sood recently paid a visit to the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, offering his prayers to the divine. Following his devotional act, Sood shared that he had begun work on his upcoming film, "Fateh," immediately after visiting the temple.
"When I started working on 'Fateh,' it began with a darshan of Baba Mahakal. Now, as we prepare for the film's release on January 10th, our promotional journey commences here. I sincerely pray that with His blessings, our film achieves great success," Sood stated to ANI.
"Fateh" marks a significant milestone for Sonu Sood as it is his directorial debut. The film draws inspiration from real-life incidents of cybercrime that plagued individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project boasts an impressive international team, including renowned Hollywood professionals like the director of photography, researchers, and action choreographers. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez will be sharing the screen with Sood in a lead role.
Anticipation for "Fateh" has been building since the makers released its teaser on X (formerly Twitter). The teaser opens with the powerful statement, 'Never underestimate a nobody.' A voiceover, believed to belong to Sonu Sood's character, is then heard stating that he killed 50 people on March 19th, not 40, and adds, "You'll never find those ten bodies. Bhagvaan unki atma ko shanti de." The teaser concludes with Sood writing on X, "AA RAHA HOON...Action speaks louder than words. #Fateh! Brace yourselves for the biggest action-packed thriller!"
Sonu Sood revealed in an interview with ANI that the inspiration for "Fateh" stemmed from his own experiences during the pandemic. He learned about instances where scammers exploited people by using his name to perpetrate fraudulent schemes.
"It was deeply concerning to discover that many individuals, especially those in remote areas, were being duped through phishing scams. I realized then that cybercrime is a significant issue in our country. Addressing it head-on became crucial. This realization sparked the journey of 'Fateh,'" he explained.
"Fateh," produced by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions, promises to be a gripping action-thriller that sheds light on the pervasive problem of cybercrime while showcasing Sonu Sood's directorial prowess.
